This is some of what i have to translate today—and this paragraph in particular makes my head explode.
Why? Notice the mixture of revolutionary language—mobilization, praxis—and 21st century capitalism
is interesting but it’s hell to translate, in some way because the revolutionists’ idiom is lost on me—
the cliches corporate capitalism, also present here, are much more familiar to me, though only slightly less repulsive. However, it is somehow combining these two in a bout of coherent English is bit jarring, creating
a unique type of cognitive dissonance—cognitive dissonance with Chinese characteristics, shall we call it?
